The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation program teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to competing in the fastest growing segment of the residential remodeling industry: home modifications for the aging-in-place.The Remodelers Council, in collaboration with the AARP, Research Center, and Seniors Housing Council, developed this program to provide comprehensive, practical, market-specific information about working with older and maturing adults to remodel their homes for aging-in-place.

The CGB designation requires that graduates meet prescribed standards of practice, possess a minimum of two years building industry experience, have a proven track record of successful project management, complete comprehensive education curriculum, and pledge to uphold the program's code of ethics.
Certified Green Professional (CGP)

The Certified Green Professional™ (CGP) designation of the recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes— without driving up the cost of construction.
